Graduate student, Sumon Sahu, successfully defended his PhD on microtubule tactoids in December of 2021. He hung a plaque on Mrs. Jennings' Wooden Leg (see image). Congratulations, Dr. Sahu! (December 2021)

Undergraduate Hong Beom Lee has been granted a fall 2021 Renée Crown University Honors Program Award for his project “Effects of Ionic Strength in Microtubule Tactoid Formation.” Congratulations, Hong!

Graduate student, Mengqi Xu, successfully defended her PhD on single molecule imaging of enhanced diffusion of enzymes in September of 2021. She also hung her plaque on Mrs. Jennings' Wooden Leg (see image). Mengqi is now a postdoc at the University of Pennsylvania.  Congratulations, Dr. Xu! (September 2021)

Congratulations to undergraduates Stephanie Bien-Aime and Nick Sawyer for being selected to receive research awards!

Stephanie will receive the Research Achievement Award which is given to graduating senior Biology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology majors who have demonstrated significant dedication to their involvement in undergraduate research.

Nick will receive the Outstanding Achievement in Biotechnology award for graduating senior Biotechnology major who has demonstrated excellence in academics, scholarship, and research. Well done!
